To better understand how the industry is responding, PIPE-FLO from Revalize conducted a global survey of more than 500 industry leaders. The findings, published in the new report Tariffs, Tech, and Turbulence: How Geopolitics Are Rewiring Manufacturing Operations and Strategy, reveal a sector in transition—one that is actively consolidating platforms and investing in predictive technologies to build resilience.
Among the most striking insights: 87% are consolidating their technology platforms to reduce complexity, while 58% report significant integration challenges as they attempt to streamline their tech stacks. Meanwhile, 85% have already adjusted their supply chain strategies in response to tariffs and economic volatility. These shifts underscore a broader trend toward operational agility and strategic foresight.
The report also highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in maintenance planning, with nearly 40% of respondents leveraging AI to anticipate equipment failures and optimize performance. This adoption signals a move toward more proactive, data-driven engineering practices, especially in environments like data centers where fluid-based cooling systems must operate efficiently and predictably.
