FM 205 – Incompressible Analysis of Gas Systems with PIPE-FLO (4 Hours)
FM 205 gives users insight and tools into how to effectively model gas systems in PIPE-FLO Professional. Students gain an understanding of the engineering and physics and learn the practical implementation and bounds of these principles for hydraulic analysis with PIPE-FLO Professional. The class includes many practical exercises to identify and modify your gas system model to maximize the accuracy of your results when assuming incompressible flow for a compressible gas.
Course Objectives:
- Gain hands-on experience modeling gas systems using incompressibility assumptions in either Professional or Advantage
- Understand the limits associated with the assumption of incompressibility for gas application
- Learn parameters, messages generated, and methods to ensure analysis falls within the limits of the equations
- Apply learnings in multiple exercises
