We all know that safety comes first – especially when it comes to fire. But how can this safety be ensured? A key component is fire protection planning.
Imagine you’re a firefighter. You arrive at the scene of a fire and see a wall of flames in front of you. Where do you start extinguishing it? Where are escape routes and emergency exits? Where are water connections? All of these questions must be answered lightning fast, because in an emergency, every second counts. This is where fire safety planning symbols come into play.
With TENADO PROTECT, you can easily manage fire protection planning. Our extensive libraries provide everything you need for fast and precise planning. Our symbols comply with standards and are continuously maintained and updated.
TENADO PROTECT provides you with an extensive library of pre-designed and compliant symbols that comply with applicable regulations. We would be happy to show you how to use these symbols effectively.
ISO 7010 was registered and adopted by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) in June 2012 as a European standard for graphic symbols – safety colors and safety signs. The design basis for shape, color, and symbols was ISO 3864. According to the rules of procedure, Germany and other member states are required to grant this European standard the status of a national standard and to withdraw other potentially conflicting standards, such as DIN 4844-2, by January 2013.
TENADO PROTECT provides you with all the tools and options you need to comply with all relevant laws, standards, and guidelines. These include, for example, TRVB O 121, DIN 14034-6, DIN 4066, and the VDS guideline. Take your time to review all the symbols and the associated standards and select the ones that are essential for your requirements.
For an escape plan to contribute to safety, the safety signs and symbols depicted on it must be displayed in a sufficient size. A minimum size of 7 mm is required. However, our symbols are already set to a size of 10 mm to ensure a clear and unambiguous representation. With our solution, you can be sure that your escape routes are optimally marked and easily recognizable for everyone involved in an emergency.
The color scheme of symbols is subject to clear specifications to ensure a uniform standard. The colors of the symbols are defined in RAL tones, whereby, for example, signal red must correspond to the RAL 3001 color number. The border of the symbols, on the other hand, should be signal white, based on the RAL 9003 number. However, it is also possible to use the RGB color space, as long as this deviation remains within the standard limits. Consistent adherence to symbol colors helps ensure clear and unambiguous communication.
