Sheet metal processing in TENADO METAL 3D

Professional and precise: sheet metal processing

This is how efficient sheet metal processing works: whether based on a template or customized, users work with intelligent and intuitive tools for designing and processing sheet metal in TENADO METALL 3D.

Precise and efficient processing

Perfect metalworking is impossible without sheet metal processing. That’s why the new generation of TENADO METAL 3D includes a sheet metal processing function that provides you with all the tools you need to design sheet metal accurately and quickly.

Thanks to intelligent tools and intuitive workflows, you can efficiently create and plan sheet metal designs so that your colleagues in production can get started right away.

Many paths lead to the finished sheet metal component

Metalworkers use various methods in TENADO METAL 3D to create their sheet metal parts. In addition to practical templates for sheet metal components, in which the material thickness, bending radius, and corner relief are specified, standard components can also be created under certain conditions and then converted into sheet metal components.
To create particularly customized sheet metal components, users can first create a single surface and then customize it and adapt it to the required dimensions.

Modernized sheet metal processing workflows

In TENADO METAL 3D, you have all sheet metal processing functions at a glance, clearly arranged and self-explanatory, so you can get started right away without wasting any time.
Simply open your project and then select the sheet metal you want to create. You have a wide range of options to choose from, as the selection of sheet metal variants is comprehensive:

From surface to infill panel

If you want to realize particularly individual projects and, for example, design the right infill panel for your railing construction, start with the surface.
Once you have determined the shape and dimensions, a sheet metal blank is created, which can then be processed as desired and adapted to the railing. Certain standards are stored in the TENADO METAL 3D sheet metal processing function and are automatically applied to the blank.
As always in 3D CAD software, customized solutions are no problem, and factors such as thickness, material, and unfolding type can be adjusted. If you use certain data particularly frequently, it can be saved as a new standard or favorite.

Schedule a Product Demostration

To turn the piece of sheet metal into a filler plate, the appropriate tabs are required. These can also be added with just a few clicks. The process is completely intuitive. Select the sheet metal ends and then determine the tab angle, bend position, and bend radius. The program takes the other values directly from the sheet metal standards.

The result is displayed live and can be checked and adjusted immediately.

Master metalworker and TENADO METALL 3D user Lukas Brohammer clearly explains how a flat surface can be turned into the right infill panel for a railing construction.

From sheet metal component to a work of art

Sheet metal components rarely have to meet the exact same specifications. This makes it all the more important for additional processing functions to be readily available to assist in delivering professional results with simple operating procedures.

Conclusion

The sheet metal processing tools in TENADO METAL 3D enable designers to work easily, quickly, and reliably. Precision and careful planning are extremely important, especially in sheet metal processing, because every detail must be correct in further processing to avoid errors, reduce waste, and prevent costly production time loss. The quality of the end product should impress metalworkers and customers alike and, ideally, guarantee the next order.
